NATUREby Krafted

Nature by Krafted was a highly unusual exhibition. For the first time, furniture and decorative art was shown at Vestfossen.

The Covid pandemic compelled Vestfossen to improvise, and the institution chose to collaborate with furniture designer and maker Lars Ernst Hole. He had established the new brand name Krafted, which is also the name of a design studio that works with talented practitioners in adjoining disciplines. For the Nature by Krafted exhibition, the pieces of furniture were combined with high quality decorative art objects and other design products.

Included in the exhibition were works by glassmakers Kari Håkonsen and Vidar Koksvik and ceramic artist Anne Udnes. Lars Ernst Hole also communicated a striking message about the environment with three installations: The Big Five Religions Table, Human Nature, and Soft Jesus. His aim was to convey the importance of preserving nature for future generations.
