Carin Ellberg

Galleri Star is one of Vestfossen Kunstlaboratorium's exhibition spaces; each year we present solo exhibitions here of internationally established artists.

In 2014 Carin Ellberg (1959/ SE) was the artist exhibiting in Galleri Star. Ellberg expresses herself through an imaginary world and the observer is invited into a variety of environments connected by networks of fine lines. These lines are drawn from everyday life; in her works conventional objects become the focus of artistic processes. For Följeslagare (2012) she utilizes nylon stockings, creating from the, a system of lines that wake associations with both childrens' mobiles, cobwebs, and chandeliers. This exhibition will give visitors a stimulating introduction to the rich and fascinating work of Ellberg.
